The launch of the NEW 24-25 FAFSA is well under way - important dates and tips for the Rutgers community.
RUTGERS PRIORITY FILE DATE
February 15th - if you file after this date you may not be eligible for all available aid.
NEW LINGO
The parent/guardians are now called contributors. When the student fills out their FAFSA section they will invite contributors. The contributors will receive an email to do their part of the FAFSA.
SCHOOL CODE
There have been reported issues of the Rutgers School code not matching, be sure to type in school code 002629.
To file the FAFSA, students will need:
- An FSA ID (for both the student and contributors)
- Their social security number
- Rutgers Federal School Code: 002629
