Rutgers is home to many neurodiverse students, staff, and faculty; however, their perspectives and needs aren't always addressed. The RU Neurodiversity Taskforce is determined to change that.

Recently, over 100 Rutgers faculty, staff, administrators, students, and friends attended the 2nd Annual Neurodiversity Summit, hosted by the Rutgers Center for Adult Autism Services at the Rutgers Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology.

The impactful event celebrated and empowered the university’s neurodiverse community, and included updates on the Taskforce’s ongoing work, a dance showcase, candid and educational presentations and panel discussions, and more.

Chancellor Francine Conway also shared the exciting announcement that her office is dedicating substantial additional funding to support the neurodiverse community.

“I want our neurodiverse students to know that their university cares about their well-being,” said Conway. “It is a failure if all students do not feel welcomed, valued, and supported.”
