Now that term bills have been rolling out, we've found that a lot of parents have the same questions about them.  Here's a quick FAQ for you to help.

How do I see my student's term bill?

  • Due to FERPA regulations, parents and families can view term bills through myGuest Dashboard.

To access, your student will need to make you an Authorized User and give you access to 'myGuest Dashboard.'  Here is info on how your student grants you access to term bill information through MyGuest Dashboard.

These are Step By Step Instructions on how to access MyGuest Dashboard

What if I don't want these loans?

When do I have to pay this bill?

    • Although the due date may be August 8th, we acknowledge that bills are still being adjusted. No late fees will be assessed for the Fall semester if more time is needed to obtain a more accurate bill.

Where can I sign up for a payment plan?

How do I pay with my 529 account?

    • The process to pay by 529 can differ depending on your plan.

Some 529's will mail a check to the University.

Personal checks, money orders, and cashier checks are accepted through the mail. Indicate the student's name, telephone number, and RUID/A number on the front of the check.

Mail your payment and term bill to:
      Term Bill Processing Unit
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey
      P.O. Box 2021
      New Brunswick, NJ 08903-2021

And some 529's disburse funds directly to you and then you use them to pay the term bill by check or credit card.

Please review your 529 materials to see how they disburse funds.
